My Painting Style

I am a realism painter. I enjoy creating paintings about nature, from landscapes to waterscapes, from still life to pet portraits, from fauna to flora.

Since 01 March 2017, my inclination has been towards the beauty and imperfection of nature. Reality is indeed beautiful when appreciated and embraced.

I have tried lots of painting styles in the past but only with realism I fell in love. With naturalism, there is no beating around the bush, no guessing game, no misinterpretation, no long captions. The need for any verbose convincing may be dispensed with.

What I value the most is the acquisition of skills over time, with practice. Skills are a manifestation of an artist's accumulated time and dedication.

In realism, one's ability to see things clearly is honed.

In realism, one's appreciation of life's flaws becomes a habit.

In realism, the artist remains grounded and aware and that keeps him appreciative of what's right before his eyes.
